We’re doing it again this year! The Saikouisen USA Ryuousen Tour 2026 is ready for registration! Join us for a one week trip to Japan and experience what we have to offer.
Day 1: We start off the tour with the Saikouisen Festival. Saikouisen has been hosting the festival the past several years where fans can meet with Saikouisen pros during the festival, as well as purchasing exclusive festival merchandise. This year, Saikouisen USA will have a booth during the festival. If you want the FULL experience, you will have to pay the entrance fee, but if you want to just hop around and look at the venue, it is free of charge. Contact us directly if you want to purchase the full experience ticket so you can play with the pros in Japan!
Day 2: Janyuu Club in Akihabara is a known non-gambling competition mahjong parlor in Japan. They use the Saikouisen ruleset, so you can play with other competition mahjong enthusiasts in Japan where pop culture thrives! One Hanchan is 450 JPY, but you can play all day if you pay 3000 JPY. What a value!
Day 3: The Saikouisen Dojo is usually open to Saikouisen members only, but we are able to get members of this tour to participate once again. Go up against the pros all day just by paying 1000 JPY!
Day 4: We will be visiting Mahjong 9 (Nine) and Hidetaka Sakai pro will be hosting a special seminar for us. He is the owner of the venue and a current Saikouisen A1 Leaguer. For just 5000 JPY, you get 3 hours of contents from one of the best. We will also be splitting the venue fee of 18000 JPY with all the participants.
Day 5: We have nothing scheduled during the day, but at night, we will be going to Dining 258 in Shibuya. Toshimasa Cho, former Saikouisen, current owner of the famouse RTD parlor and current head referee for M.League, is the owner of the restaurant. His vision was to have a dining space where any one can come watch mahjong while having a good meal. The venue has multiple large TVs so you are able to watch the games where ever you sit! Even the restroom! Dining 258 is also co-owned by Toshiyuki Tomozoe pro (the Afro Guy), and the head chef is Takaya Matsugase from RMU. The former M.Leaguer is known for his cooking skills, and you will be able to eat and drink his specialities while watching M.League!
Day 6: We will be going back to the Saikouisen Dojo for another day of mahjong play. Since this is one day before the Ryuousen main matches, it will most likely be a tournament practice day where you play 2 Hanchans with the same players. Get advice on how to fight with conditions from other Saikouisen pros!
Day 7: This will be Day 1 of the Ryuousen Main Matches. If our USA representative goes past Round 3, we will also be going to Day 2. You won’t be able to play, but you can observe how a pro tournament is organized and run by the organization. All the events are a la carte style, so you can pick and choose which ones you want to attend, or join us for all of them! The tour fee will be $150 USD for general admission, and if you are a Saikouisen USA pro, you will get the discounted $100 USD admission fee. If interested, please use the form link below and sign up by 11/30/2025. We understand that for some, that timing is difficult, and might not be able to be certain by the deadline. If that sounds like you, it’s ok! Just let us know when you will be able to make a final decision, and we will put you on the list. For any inquiries or questions, please feel free to message Kenji via Discord. Hope to see many of you all there!
